The Union health ministry has further eased Covid-19 guidelines for international visitors, eliminating the previous requirement for RT-PCR based testing of a random two per cent subset of international travelers. The guidelines have been relaxed after considering the prevailing coronavirus situation and the remarkable progress in global vaccination coverage. The new guidelines will be implemented starting from midnight on July 20th.
However, the previous advice regarding precautionary measures to be followed by airlines and international travelers in relation to Covid-19 will continue to apply, according to the ministry.
